About the Owner
Dana B. Armstrong
Four Generations = 86 years of Experience

1st generation
Guy Armstrong, my great-grandfather, whose ancestors came from Scotland to Canada in the 1700’s, started the first Armstrong masonry business in Troy, Vermont in 1921.
2nd generation
Roger Armstrong, my grandfather, learned the trade from my great-grandfather and started his own business in St. Johnsbury, Vermont in 1955. He’s been known to come out of retirement and can still be spotted laying brick on occasion.
3rd generation
My dad, Ken Armstrong, started working full-time in the masonry business in 1975 and along with his brother still runs a successful masonry business, Armstrong Masonry in Lyndonville, Vermont. My dad helps me out whenever possible and is always available to lend his expertise on larger projects.
4th generation
I started learning the trade “as soon as I could carry a brick.” After graduating from Vermont Technical College in 2000 with a degree in Construction Management, I worked for a general contractor and Armstrong Masonry between 2000 and 2006. 4Generations Masonry was born in 2007 when I decided to work full-time in the art of building with brick and stone. We have the experience to get the job done correctly. Please call today to get an estimate for your project.
